School Break Day Camps: The fun keeps on growing!

Botanical Garden school break day camps in Des Moines allow youth to explore the natural world through botanical, artistic and scientific activities. Our innovative day camps for kids inspire youth to create, explore and discover in our unique garden classrooms. Whether you’re interested in spring break camps, winter break camps or another holiday camp, we have something your little one is sure to love.

All camps run 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and are designed for students in first through fifth grade.

2024 Winter Break Camps

Designed for students currently enrolled in first through fifth grade. Note: ARTrageous! is a TWO-day camp offered twice over winter break. These camps are identical, so there’s no need to register for more than one.

Campers will spend two days of their school break enjoying our warm tropical oasis while exploring a variety of art mediums and using the tropical flora as inspiration.

Campers will spend two days of their school break enjoying our warm tropical oasis while exploring a variety of art mediums and using the tropical flora as inspiration.

Camp Logistics

All camps are designed for first-through fifth-graders. Enroll your child based on what grade they are currently in.
All camps are capped at 14 participants.
Prices are listed per child per camp and includes a camp souvenir, snack, supplies for all activities and multiple projects to take home and enjoy.
Youth should bring a sack lunch to enjoy.
