Fans of HoQ, the sustainable farm-to-table restaurant in Des Moines’ East Village, will enjoy the savory goodness from owners Chef Suman and Dr. Cynthia Hoque in their place at the Botanical Garden: Flora.Â
The HoQ Mediterranean Bowl is a popular item from his flagship restaurant (which will no longer serve lunch) offered at Flora. This vibrant dish features lentil falafel, seasonal vegetables, turmeric couscous and Milton Creamery quark cheese.
Flora is open 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday through Saturday.Â
Sunday brunch available 10 am to 2 pm.

Dinners at Flora
Begin your evening with a special Dinner at Flora, then step into the glow of Dome for the Holidays. Each reservation includes dinner, tax, gratuity, and a ticket to the event. The Dec. 31 gatherings feature a special New Year’s Eve dinner or NYE Cocktail Party.
- Seating begins 5:30 PM and dinner concludes at 7 PM.
- Price: $75 per person, including tax, gratuity and Dome for the Holidays admission following dinner.
- The special, 4-course New Year’s Eve dinner and NYE Cocktail Party on Dec. 31 are both $145 per person.
- The Dec. 31 New Year’s Eve dinner seating begins at 5pm and dinner concludes at 7pm. The NYE Cocktail Party is open house-style from 7:30-9:30pm.
- The menu will be available when reservations open.
- Dietary allergies can be accommodated when shared in advance.
- Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from Flora. Menu selections may vary.
- Reservations must be purchased online in advance and are nonrefundable. Reservations will not be sold at the door.
- Dinner, tax, gratuity & Dome for the Holidays ticket included
