A Greater Place to Visit
The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden is not just an entertaining and educational experience for you, your friends, and family. Concurrently, it’s also an established Botanical Garden with a reputation as a dynamic, innovative, cultural institution that pushes horticultural boundaries. All in all, we’re seen as the place where you can Find Your True Nature™ in Des Moines in many ways.
Discover Something Unique
In fact, this true downtown urban oasis delivers an engaging green space you can explore day and night. Another key point is beyond a high-quality guest experience, we offer educational programming, signature events, and also community outreach for you to enjoy. Since we provide so many things to do, we’re truly a place where you can undeniably grow.
Always in Season
If you visit the Botanical Garden in each season, then it changes what you experience while here. Unlike other locations, you can find yourself immersed in many different tropical gardens made possible by biodiversity from around the globe within the dome. Conversly, explore our 12 acres of outdoor gardens to see what’s in bloom locally. Lastly, no matter the weather, there’s an inviting green space somewher in our gardens for you to explore.
Plant Societies as Partners
Firstly, we partner with multiple horticultural organizations to advance our mission of exploring, explaining, and celebrating the world of plants with people. Because we do, you’re able to learn more about what most excites your growing interests. Since Plant Societies invite you to get involved with their group, you can connect with others like you.
