Wellness in the Garden
Take some time to relax and re-center yourself in the Botanical Garden’s lush conservatory or outdoor gardens. We will focus on a therapeutic style of yoga called somayoga which is a unique blend of work that includes classic asana, traditional therapeutic yoga, and re-education of somatics. These classes are perfect for all abilities. Don’t forget to bring your yoga mat and water bottle. Due to limited capacity, preregistration is required.

- Pause and Take Notice: In need of a spiritual boost, or want to connect more closely with nature?  Take time to breathe in the Lauridsen Savanna.
- Journaling Seat: Take a seat in the Gardeners Show House and write down or draw what you see and feel.
- Get Moving in the Garden: Exercise in nature changes the benefits of physical activity while also enhancing motivation and commitment. We’ll guide you through some physical activities. Don’t forget to stretch!
- Expand Your Mind: Opening your mind to new ideas and experiences enhances decision-making, human interactions, and builds community. Take a journey through our Garden quote walk.
- Love Yourself Challenge: Your feelings contribute to your overall sense of well-being and happiness. This includes speaking to yourself in a creative, optimistic, and appreciative manner! Practice self-love with our Self-Love Challenge!
- Nature, Your Yoga Teacher: Practice yoga moves in front of a mirror before taking them to your favorite Botanical Garden location.
