Pick up your bulbs from the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden Fall Bulb Sale early during this happy hour type event. Horticulture and Education staff will be there to answer your bulb questions and provide advice to help you achieve beautiful blooms in the spring. Enjoy a glass of wine as we discover the creepy and ghoulish side of the botanical world from peculiar pumpkins to the deadliest plants. After feeding some hungry carnivorous plants, each couple will take a carnivorous plant home! All participants must be at least 21 years of age. Registration required. Stroll through our transformed tropical oasis as you enjoy a dynamic display of thousands of twinkling lights, an incredible collection of blown glass sculptures, festive music, train display, gnome hunt, refreshments, and more. This enchanting holiday display is sure to be a sought-after, unforgettable family tradition, as it’s the perfect way to experience all the magic of the season.
