Bookish plant people, this night is for us! Meet author and scholar Dr. Beronda Montgomery at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden for drinks, a stroll through the Garden, and a conversation about her book, “Lessons From Plants”, a beloved Storyhouse Bookpub bestseller. Dr. Montgomery will also be chatting and signing copies of the book.

Tickets include access to the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. Trellis Café will provide a cash bar. Storyhouse will have “Lessons From Plants” (plus a mini botanical bookstore!) available for purchase on site or prepurchase the book for pickup at Storyhouse or the event.

About the book: “Lessons From Plants” enters into the depth of botanic experience and shows how we might improve human society by better appreciating not just what plants give us but also how they achieve their own purposes. Montgomery’s meditative study puts before us a question with the power to reframe the way we live: What would a plant do?
