Yoga in the Garden | Wednesday, April 3 and 17, 6-7 p.m.
Take some time to relax and re-center yourself in the Botanical Garden’s lush conservatory or outdoor gardens. We will focus on a therapeutic style of yoga called somayoga which is a unique blend of work that includes classic asana, traditional therapeutic yoga, and re-education of somatics. These classes are perfect for all abilities. Don’t forget to bring your yoga mat and water bottle. Due to limited capacity, preregistration is required.

A floating garden is the perfect way to add some green and interest to your home. Kokedama is a unique gardening style from Japan that allows people to create a garden outside of a pot! Step into the captivating world of tea at our enchanting History of Tea program, nestled within the serene setting of our breathtaking Botanical Garden. Delve into the centuries-old tale of this aromatic elixir as it intertwines with human culture, trade, and exploration. Guided by Botanical Garden staff and Red Dragon Herbs & Teas, you’ll savor a hands-on experience as you explore traditional brewing techniques and learn to distinguish nuanced flavors through a flight of tea representing countries around the world. Green Spring Cleaning | Tuesday, April 9, 5:30-7 p.m.
Want to learn how to create custom, chemical-free cleaning products? By using botanicals, essential oils, and household ingredients, you can level up your everyday cleaning experience and decrease the amount of chemicals in your home. In this class, we will learn how to make a variety of different cleaning solutions for all your household cleaning needs. Participants will receive recipes and a glassware kit with registration.

FULL: Botanical Watercolor| Tuesday, April 16, 5:30-7 p.m.
Explore essential techniques used in traditional botanical watercolor painting. Learn about the different brushes, paper, and paints and how to properly load a brush with color for flat washes, graded washes, and dry brush techniques. Then, choose a plant to transfer and paint a copy of it. Registration required.

Want to get into garden design but don’t know where to start? Learn from an expert at the Botanical Garden! This beginner-level class will show you how to plan and plant a beautiful garden perfect for your skill level. Learn how to plan out your space, research and select the right plants, and create a color scheme like the pros! Registration required.
