Take some time to relax and re-center yourself in the Botanical Garden’s lush conservatory. Whether you are a yoga expert or looking to try something new, this is the perfect class for you. Don’t forget to bring your yoga mat and water bottle. Due to limited capacity, preregistration is required.

FULL: Cocoa and Crafts | Friday, January 12, 6-8 p.m.
Nothing warms your body and soul like the lush conservatory, hot chocolate, and crafting! While enjoying Dome After Dark, indulge in our full hot chocolate bar to create a delicious treat to sip on while you create two botanical-themed crafts perfect for this winter. This activity will allow participants to work at their own pace. Registration is required. Admission to Dome After Dark is included.

Herbal Soap Making | Thursday, January 18, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Explore the art and science of making handcrafted soap from scratch with Ann Staudt of Siberian Soap Co. Using the centuries-old cold process soap-making technique, students combine plant-based oils and lye to create soaps that are mild, moisturizing, and eco-friendly. This workshop is very hands-on, with each participant making and taking home one pound of their own custom batch of herbal handcrafted soap. All participants require long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. Please bring an old towel or blanket to insulate your finished soap. Open to age 16 and up. Younger students must have advance permission from the instructor.

Botanical drawing combines careful observation and copying what is seen. Join us to explore supplies, practice techniques, and sharpen your observation skills through a variety of exercises. POSTPONED: 3D Needle Felting | Tuesday, January 30, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Learn the art of 3D needle-felting while creating an adorable gnome with fiber artist Megan Hammer! We’ll work together step-by-step in this beginner-friendly workshop, learning 3D felting techniques while we make our gnome (approximately 3”-4″ tall). You’ll choose from a variety of colors for your gnome’s hat, body, and nose. Create a whimsical color combo, or stick with the classic! All tools and supplies will be provided for use during the workshop
